- This antibody is specific for amino acids 327-450 of mouse GABA-A-R-Beta1. It shows no cross-reactivity against GABA-A-R-Beta2 or -Beta3. GABA-A-R-Beta1 is a component of the heteropentameric receptor for GABA, the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the vertebrate brain. It also functions as histamine receptor and mediates cellular responses to histamine.
