- This antibody binds the extracellular domain of the human type I-interferon receptor (IFN-R) and has neutralizing capacity against the biological properties of the human type I-IFN. The epitope to which the antibody binds was found to include the peptide: CNFSSLKLNVYE. This peptide is present in subdomain 1 of the extracellular portion of IFNAR1.
