- This antibody recognises the amino-acid sequence corresponding to the 3'-UGA codon region of human CD4 (downstream of the natural UGA (STOP) codon transcribed, if termination at the UGA codon is suppressed). CD4 is a membrane glycoprotein of T lymphocytes that interacts with major histocompatibility complex class II antigenes and is also a receptor for the human immunodeficiency virus.
