- Specificity:
- This antibody recognises secifically C3 loop of metarhodopsin-I (residues 230-252) (and also dark-adapted form of rhodopsin) but it does not bind to the ligh-activated form - metarhodopsin-II. Rhodopsin is the best studied GPCR and is present in rod cells where it is activated by light being responsible for the signal transduction in the visual system.
