- Specificity:
- This antibody is specific for human p63, a type II transmembrane protein identified in the rough endoplasmic reticulum. Surface expression of p63 is characteristic of differentiated plasma cells, due to their high secretory activity. As a result, p63 acts as a plasma cell marker. It also plays an important role in the development of epithelial tissues.
