- Source: Human Cells. MW :19kD. Recombinant Human Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor II is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Lys288-Ser461 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1B(TNFRSF1B) is expressed by the gene TNFRSF1B. The soluble form is produced from the membrane form by proteolytic processing. It can bind to TRAF2; and interacts with BMX. It can act as the receptor with high affinity for TNFSF2/TNF-alpha and approximately 5-fold lower affinity for homotrimeric TNFSF1/lymphotoxin-alpha. The TRAF1/TRAF2 complex recruits the apoptotic suppressors BIRC2 and BIRC3 to TNFRSF1B/TNFR2. This receptor mediates most of the metabolic effects of TNF-alpha.
