PYCR2 protein catalyzes the conversion of pyrroline-5-carboxylate to proline; which is the last step in proline biosynthesis. The three substrates of the PYCR2 enzyme are L-proline; NAD+; and NADP+; while its four products are 1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate; NADH; NADPH; and H+.PYCR2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 343 amino acids (1-320 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 36kDa.PYCR2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
