PRDX2 takes part as an antioxidant protective role in cells; and contributes to the antiviral activity of CD8(+) T-cells. PRDX2 has proliferative effect in cancer development or progression.If PRDX2 protection is insufficient against peroxidases; the DNA damage results in neurological disease such as Alzheimer's or DNA damage leading to cancer.PRDX2 Rat Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 222 amino acids (1-198 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 24.3kDa. PRDX2 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
