NPPA is synthesized as a great precursor which releases a peptide from the N-terminus with similarity to vasoactive peptide; cardiodilatin; and another peptide from the C-terminus with natriuretic-diuretic activity. In female pregnancy; NPPA is promoting trophoblast invasion and spiral artery remodeling in uterus. NPPA Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated; polypeptide chain (a.a 26-123) containing 106 amino acids including an 8 a.a N-terminal His tag. The total molecular mass is 11.7kDa (calculated).
