- Source : E.coli. TUBB3 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 473 amino acids (1-450 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 52.8kDa. TUBB3 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Tubulin; beta 3 class III (TUBB3); which is the major constituent of microtubules; is primarily Expressed in neurons and is involved in neurogenesis and in axon guidance and maintenance. TUBB3 binds two moles of GTP; one at an exchangeable site on the beta chain and one at a non-exchangeable site on the alpha-chain.
