TCF4 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 530 amino acids (1-507) and having a molecular mass of 56.6 kDa.TCF4 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Transcription Factor 4 (TCF4) acts as a transcription factor and takes part in the initiation of neuronal differentiation. TCF4 recognizes an Ephrussi-box ('E-box') binding site ('CANNTG') - a motif primary identified in immunoglobulin enhancers. TCF4 is mainly expressed in pre-B-cells; even though it is present in other tissues as well.
