- Extra Details:
- Source : Escherichia Coli. SUMO3 produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 112 amino acids (1-92a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 12.6kDa (molecular weight on SDS-PAGE will appear higher).SUMO3 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. SUMO3 belongs to the SUMO protein family and operates like ubiquitin. Nevertheless; unlike ubiquitin that targets proteins for degradation; SUMO3 protein takes part in several cellular processes; like nuclear transport; transcriptional regulation; apoptosis; and protein stability. SUMO3 regulates amyloid beta generation and is crucial in the onset or progression of Alzheimer's disease.
- Purification:
- Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
