- Extra Details:
- Source : Escherichia Coli. RAP1A Recombinant E.coli produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 201 amino acids (1-181 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 22.8 kDa. The RAP1A is fused to 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by conventional chromatography. RAP1A is part of the family of RAS-related proteins which possess 50% amino acid identity with the classical RAS proteins and have various structural characteristics in common. RAP proteins differ from RAS proteins in their 61st amino acid; glutamine in RAS is replaced by threonine in RAP proteins. RAP1A induces morphological reversion of a cell line transformed by a Ras oncogene and counteracts the mitogenic function of Ras; since it can interact with Ras GAPs and RAF in a competitive manner.
