PROCR Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 216 amino acids (18-210) and having a molecular mass of 24.4 kDa.PROCR is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Protein-c Receptor (PROCR) is a receptor for activated protein C; a serine protease activated by and involved in the blood coagulation pathway. The PROCR protein is an N-glycosylated type I membrane protein which enhances the activation of protein C. PROCR gene mutations are linked with venous thromboembolism and myocardial infarction; as well as with late fetal loss during pregnancy. In addition; PROCR may have a role in malarial infection and has been linked with cancer.
