- Source : Escherichia Coli. NECAP2 produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 283 amino acids (1-263a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 30.5 kDa. NECAP2 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. NECAP2 which is involved in endocytosis; is a vital protein paralogues for clathrin-mediated membrane trafficking which are enhanced in CCV layers. NECAP2 protein colocalizes with AP-2 at the plasma membrane by binding AP-2s -ear domain; and interacts with AP-1; AP-2 and several GAE domain proteins termed GGA1; GGA2 and GGA3.
