MYL4 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 205 amino acids (1-197 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 22.6kDa.MYL4 is fused to an 8 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. MYL4 is a hexameric ATPase cellular motor protein which is composed of two nonphosphorylatable alkali light chains; two heavy chains and two phosphorylatable regulatory light chains. MYL4 encodes a myosin alkali light chain which is located in embryonic muscle and adult atria. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein were found for this gene.
