MECOM Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 192 amino acids (1-169 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 21.1kDa.MECOM is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. MDS1 is a transcriptional regulator and oncoprotein which takes part in hematopoiesis; development; cell differentiation; apoptosis and proliferation. MDS1 is able to interact with CTBP1; SMAD3; CREBBP; KAT2B; MAPK8; and MAPK9. Overexpression; as a result of translocation with the AML1 gene; is known to cause leukemia. A number of transcript variants encoding several different isoforms were found.
