KIAA0101 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 134 amino acids (1-111) and having a molecular mass of 14.4 kDa.KIAA0101 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. KIAA0101 is a PCNA-binding protein which performs as a regulator of DNA repair all through DNA replication. Subsequent to DNA mutilation; the collaboration with PCNA is interrupted; enabling the interaction between monoubiquitinated PCNA and the translesion DNA synthesis DNA polymerase eta (POLH) at stalled replisomes; assisting the bypass of replication-fork-blocking lesions. Additionally; KIAA0101 performs as a controller of centrosome number.
