FTSJ2 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 219 amino acids (51-246) and having a molecular mass of 24.1 kDa.FTSJ2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. FtsJ RNA Methyltransferase Homolog 2 (FTSJ2) belongs to the S-adenosylmethionine-binding protein family. FTSJ2 is a nucleolar protein and which is involved in cell cycle control and DNA repair and the processing and modification of rRNA. FTSJ2 is extensively expressed; with the highest expression in the muscle; placenta; and heart.
