- Source : Escherichia Coli. DBR1 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 340 amino acids (228-544) and having a molecular mass of 38kDa (molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear higher).DBR1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. DBR1 is an RNA lariat debranching enzyme which hydrolyzes 2'-5' prime branched phosphodiester bonds. The encoded protein specifically targets the bonds at the branch point of eliminated lariat intron RNA; transforming them to linear molecules which are then degraded. Additionally; DBR1 takes part in retroviral replication.
