CHGB Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated; polypeptide chain containing 677 amino acids (21-677 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 78.4kDa. CHGB protein is fused to a 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by standard chromatography. CHGB is a neuroendocrine secretory granule protein; that is the precursor for other biologically active peptides. CHGB is part of the chromogranin/secretogranin protein family and is expressed in the adrenal medulla; and in pheochromocytoma.
