APOBEC4 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 390 amino acids (1-367aa) and having a molecular mass of 44kDa.APOBEC4 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. APOBEC4 belongs to the AID/APOBEC family of polynucleotide (deoxy)cytidine deaminases; which convert cytidine to uridine. Further AID/APOBEC family members are implicated in Mrna editing; somatic hypermutation and recombination of immunoglobulin genes; and innate immunity to retroviral infection. Among the diseases associated with APOBEC4 are systemic lupus erythematosus; and lupus erythematosus.
