APIP Human Recombinant produced E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 266 amino acids (1-242) and having a molecular mass of 29.7kDa.APIP is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. APIP catalyzes the dehydration of methylthioribulose-1-phosphate (MTRu-1-P) into 2;3-diketo-5-methylthiopentyl-1-phosphate (DK-MTP-1-P). APIP has an anti-apoptotic function and inhibits muscle ischemic impairment. APIP inhibits the cytochrome c-dependent and APAF1-mediated cell death.
