- Source : Escherichia Coli. ANXA6 produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 693 amino acids (1-673 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 78 kDa. ANXA6 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. ANXA6 is part of the family of calcium-dependent membrane and phospholipid binding proteins. ANXA6 mediats the endosome aggregation and vesicle fusion in secreting epithelia during exocytosis. ANXA6 correlates with CD21. ANXA6 regulates the release of Ca(2+) from intracellular stores. ANXA6 is differentially expressed in the lumbar spinal cord from rats submitted to peripheral lesion during neonatal period.
