TKT Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 643 amino acids (1-623) and having a molecular mass of 70.0kDa.TKT is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. TKT is a thiamine-dependent enzyme that takes part in the channeling of leftover sugar phosphates to glycolysis in the pentose phosphate pathway. Multiple alternatively spliced variants are known that encode the same protein.
