PTPRC Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 257 amino acids (1031-1251a.a) and having a molecular mass of 29.6kDa. PTPRC is fused to a 36 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type C; also known as PTPRC; which is a vital regulator of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signaling; is also a part of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are signaling molecules which regulate a variety of cellular processes including differentiation; cell growth; mitosis; and oncogenic transformation. PTPRC contains an extracellular domain; a single transmembrane segment and 2 tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains; and therefore is classified as a receptor type PTP.
