- Source : Escherichia Coli. FKBP2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated; polypeptide chain containing 122 amino acids (22-142 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 13.4 kDa. The FKBP2 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. FKBP2 is part of the immunophilin protein family; which takes part in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes involving protein folding and trafficking. FKBP2 is a cis-trans prolyl isomerase that binds the immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin. FKBP2 functions as an ER chaperone and as a component of membrane cytoskeletal scaffolds.
