- Source : E.coli. CYB5R1 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 330 amino acids (29-305) and having a molecular mass of 33.8kDa. CYB5R1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Cytochrome b5 reductase 1 (CYB5R1) is a part of the flavoprotein pyridine nucleotide cytochrome reductase family. CYB5R1 is engaged in desaturation and elongation of fatty acids; cholesterol biosynthesis; drug metabolism; and; in erythrocyte; methemoglobin decrease.
