VWA2 contains a signal peptide sequence; an N-terminal VWA domain connected to 2 additional tandem vWA domains by a cysteine-rich sequence and an EGF-like domain. Also; another EGF-like domain is located at the C-terminus. Expression of VWA2 is induced in stage II; III and IV colon cancers and colon adenomas and is considered a novel serum marker for the diagnosis of early-stage colon cancer.VWA2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 177 amino acids (341-517 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 19.3kDa.The VWA2 is expressed with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
