- Source:HEK293 Cells. Physical Appearance:Sterile filtered colorless solution. Biological Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA with Human EFNB1. EPH Receptor B1 (EPHB1) is a member of the ephrin receptor subfamily of the proteintyrosine kinase family which 16 receptors are known. EPHB1 binds ephrin-B2; ephrin-B1;ephrin-A3;ephrin-A1;ephrin-B3 and ephrin-A4. EPHB1 binds tyrosine kinase and phosphorylates syndecan-2 and thisphosphorylation is necessary for syndecan-2 clustering and spine formation. Ephrin receptors and theirligands (the ephrins) mediate several developmental processes; mainly in the nervous system. EPHB1 Human Recombinant produced in HEK293 Cells is a single; glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 529 amino acids (18-540 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 59.2 kDa.EPHB1 is expressed with a 6 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
