Biological Activity null Dickkopf-related protein 1 (DKK1) antagonizes canonical Wnt signaling by inhibiting LRP5/6 interaction with Wnt and by creating a ternary complex with the transmembrane protein KREMEN which promotes internalization of LRP5/6. DKKs have a significant role in vertebrate development; where they locally inhibit Wnt controlled processes for instance antero-posterior axial patterning; limb development; somitogenesis and eye formation. Furthermore; Dkks are involved in bone formation and bone disease; cancer and Alzheimer disease in Adults. DKK1 Mouse Recombinant produced in HEK293 cells is a single; glycosylated polypeptide chain (32-272a.a) containing 247 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 26.9kDa.DKK1 is fused to a 6 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus;and is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
