It takes a key regulatory role in a number of cellular functions including hormone secretion;cell growth differentiation; and gene expression. It is involved in cell polarization processes and the formation of epithelial tight junctions.This protein kinase is calcium-independent and phospholipid-dependent. It is also implicated in the activation of several signal-pathways such as Ras; and NF-kappa-B; c-Src pathways.PRKCI Human Recombinant produced in HEK cells is a single; glycosylated; polypeptide chain (1-596 a.a) containing a total of 602 amino acids; having a molecular mass of 69kDa. PRKCI is fused to a 6 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus;and is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
