IL 1 alpha Mouse Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 179 amino acids (115-270 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 20.4kDa.IL 1 alpha is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Interleukin-1 alpha is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by a wide variety of cell types; including macrophages; osteoblasts; monocytes and hepatocytes. Circulating levels of are normally low and only rise after stimulation by agents such as those produced byinflammation; infection or microbial endotoxins. IL-1 alpha possesses a wide variety of biological activities and exerts its effects by binding to specific cell surface receptors.
