- Source: Sf9; Insect cells.Sterile Filtered colorless solution.Tetraspanin 7; also known as TSPAN7; is part of the transmembrane 4 superfamily; which is also familiar as the tetraspanin family. Most of these proteins mediate signal transduction events which play a role in the regulation of cell development; activation; growth as well as motility. Furthermore; TSPAN7 is associated with X-linked mental retardation in addition to neuropsychiatric diseases such as Huntington's chorea; fragile X syndrome and myotonic dystrophy. Lately; TSPAN7 has been acknowledged as a key immune system target in type 1 diabetes.TSPAN7 Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Insect cells is a single; glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 110 amino acids (113-213a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 12.6kDa. (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions 13.5-18kDa). TSPAN7 is expressed with a 6amino acids His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
