The PODXL protein is involved in the regulation of both adhesion and cell morphology and cancer progression. PODXL functions as an anti-adhesive molecule; which retains an open filtration pathway between neighboring foot processes in the podocyte by charge repulsion. Moreover; PODXL serves as a pro-adhesive molecule; enhancing the adherence of cells to immobilized ligands; increasing the rate of migration and cell-cell contacts in an integrin-dependent manner.PODXL Mouse Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single; glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 391 amino acids (22-404a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 41.0kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 70-100kDa).
