FOLR1 binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and facilitates transfer of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the cells. FOLR1 is either attaches to membranes through a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage or exists in a soluble form. FOLR1 is also needed for embryonic development and normal cell proliferation.FOLR1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 233 amino acids (25-234 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 27kDa. FOLR1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
