Interferon beta 1b Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single; non-glycosylated mutein (variant form) of human Interferon beta-1b polypeptide chain containing 165 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 18510.86 Dalton.The IFN-beta gene was cloned from human fibroblasts and altered to substitute Serine for the Cysteine residue found at position 17. IFN beta-1b is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Interferon-beta 1b has antiviral; antibacterial and anticancer activities.

- Greater than 98.0% as determined by:(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
