FSTL1 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 309 amino acids (21-308) and having a molecular mass of 34.9 kDa.FSTL1 is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. FSTL1 protein resembles follistatin; an activin-binding protein. FSTL1 is an autoantigen associated with rheumatoid arthritis and it holds an FS section; a follistatin-like sequence having 10 conserved cysteine residues.
