BMP-2 Human Recombinant produced in HEK cells is a glycosylated disulfide-linked homodimer; having a molecular weight range of 30-38kDa due to glycosylation.The BMP2 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. BMP2 belongs to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB) superfamily. Bone morphogenic protein induces bone formation. BMP2 is a candidate gene for the autosomal dominant disease of fibrodysplasia (myositis) ossificans progressiva.
