As a result; PCP induces hallucinations; distorted perceptions of reality; and a sense of detachment from the environment. The drug can be ingested orally; snorted; smoked; or injected. Diagnostic testing for PCP abuse typically involves urine analysis; as PCP and its metabolites can be detected in urine samples.
