Visikol

Visikol Inc is a New Jersey-based biotech company focused on developing bio-imaging tools that allow researchers to obtain a more complete and accurate picture of biological tissues. The company is focused on solving a fundamental problem in the life sciences which is that researchers characterize tissues such as mouse brains using a four-hundred-year-old two-dimensional histological approach that is limited in describing the characteristics of three-dimensional biology. To solve this problem, the Visikol team has invented a patented tissue clearing technology also called Visikol® that can render biological tissues transparent so that they can be imaged in 3D instead of the traditional 2D approach. Visikol is focused on developing easy-to-use tissue clearing reagents and kits and has launched their Visikol® HISTO™ platform so that any researcher can add a new dimension to their research.
