- The COVID-19 IgG/IgM/IgA ELISA Assay is a serological screening tool for SARS-CoV-2. This high-throughput method is based on the use of a microtiter plate that is pre-coated with SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein for trapping serum antibodies developed by the immune system. Once these antibodies are captured on the plate, the use of a mixture of detection antibodies that are specific to human IgG, IgM, and to IgA generates a calorimetric signal. This will allow for confirming or denying the presence of a COVID-19-related immune response/infection. The COVID-19 IgM ELISA Kit is a quick and robust technology that is compatible with large population testing. The accurate sorting between infected and non-infected individuals is one of the main strategies to fight the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. For Serological testing - This test must not be used as the sole method of testing a patient for COVID-19.
