- This Chemically Competent E.coli Cells Combo Pack allows fulfilling your cloning and protein expression needs. The Combo Pack contains 5 tubes of AB 5-alpha and 5 tubes of BL21(DE3) chemically competent E. coli cells in convenient packaging format (100 ul/tube aliquots). AB 5-alpha cells are directly comparable to DH5a™ cells. These cells are perfect for use in all cloning applications, including preparation of high-quality plasmid DNA. They offer efficient transformation even with large plasmids. The transformation efficiency is ≥ 1x108 cfu/ug pUC19 plasmid DNA.
