- Extra Details:
- HRH1 (Histamine receptor H1) is a G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) that primarily couples to Gq/11 proteins; activating phospholipase C (PLC); increasing IP₃/DAG levels and intracellular Ca²⁺ mobilization. HRH1 is expressed in smooth muscle; endothelial cells; brain; and immune cells; mediating allergic responses; vasodilation; bronchoconstriction; and neurotransmission. Dysregulation of HRH1 signaling is associated with allergies; asthma; inflammation; and CNS disorders; making it a therapeutic target for antihistamines and allergy treatments.
