PME101550

Human ACVR2A Protein; hFc Tag

Size

£189.00

SKU:
PME101550
Additional Names:
ACVR2; ACTRII
Molecular Weight:
The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 39.5 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of ACVR2A-hFc is approximately 55-70 kDa due to glycosylation.
Purity:
The purity of the protein is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining.
Storage Conditions:
Store at -20[o]C to -80[o]C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution; if not intended for use within a month; aliquot and store at -80[o]C (Avoid repeated freezing and thawing). Lyophilized proteins are shipped at ambient temperature.
Supplier:
DIMA Biotechnology Ltd
Formulation:
Lyophilized from sterile PBS; pH 7.4. Normally 5 % – 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization. Please see Certificate of Analysis for specific instructions of reconstitution.
Target:
ACVR2A
ACVR2A(Ala20-Pro135) hFc(Glu99-Ala330):
ACVR2A(Ala20-Pro135) hFc(Glu99-Ala330)
Extra Details:
This gene encodes a receptor that mediates the functions of activins; which are members of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) superfamily involved in diverse biological processes. The encoded protein is a transmembrane serine-threonine kinase receptor which mediates signaling by forming heterodimeric complexes with various combinations of type I and type II receptors and ligands in a cell-specific manner. The encoded type II receptor is primarily involved in ligand-binding and includes an extracellular ligand-binding domain; a transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic serine-threonine kinase domain. This gene may be associated with susceptibility to preeclampsia; a pregnancy-related disease which can result in maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene. [provided by RefSeq; Jun 2013]
