- SKU:
- PME101441
- Additional Names:
- TAU; MSTD; PPND; DDPAC; MAPTL; MTBT1; MTBT2; tau-40; FTDP-17; PPP1R103; Tau-PHF6
- Molecular Weight:
- The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 79.6 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of His-MAPT is approximately 100-250 kDa due to glycosylation.
- Purity:
- The purity of the protein is greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining.
- Storage Conditions:
- Store at -20[o]C to -80[o]C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution; if not intended for use within a month; aliquot and store at -80[o]C (Avoid repeated freezing and thawing). Lyophilized proteins are shipped at ambient temperature.
- Supplier:
- DIMA Biotechnology Ltd
- Formulation:
- Lyophilized from sterile PBS; pH 7.4. Normally 5 % - 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization. Please see Certificate of Analysis for specific instructions of reconstitution.
- Target:
- MAPT
- 6×His tag MAPT(Ala2-Leu758):
- 6×His tag MAPT(Ala2-Leu758)
- Extra Details:
- This gene encodes the microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) whose transcript undergoes complex; regulated alternative splicing; giving rise to several mRNA species. MAPT transcripts are differentially expressed in the nervous system; depending on stage of neuronal maturation and neuron type. MAPT gene mutations have been associated with several neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease; Pick's disease; frontotemporal dementia; cortico-basal degeneration and progressive supranuclear palsy.
