- The protein has a predicted molecular mass of 50.9 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of hFc-LOX-1 is approximately 55-70 kDa due to glycosylation.
- Purity:
- The purity of the protein is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining.
- Storage Conditions:
- Store at -20[o]C to -80[o]C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution; if not intended for use within a month; aliquot and store at -80[o]C (Avoid repeated freezing and thawing). Lyophilized proteins are shipped at ambient temperature.
- Supplier:
- DIMA Biotechnology Ltd
- Formulation:
- Lyophilized from sterile PBS; pH 7.4. Normally 5 % - 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization. Please see Certificate of Analysis for specific instructions of reconstitution.

- hFc(Glu99-Ala330) LOX-1(Met58-Gln273)
- Extra Details:
- This gene encodes a low density lipoprotein receptor that belongs to the C-type lectin superfamily. This gene is regulated through the cyclic AMP signaling pathway. The encoded protein binds; internalizes and degrades oxidized low-density lipoprotein. This protein may be involved in the regulation of Fas-induced apoptosis. This protein may play a role as a scavenger receptor. Mutations of this gene have been associated with atherosclerosis; risk of myocardial infarction; and may modify the risk of Alzheimer's disease. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq; Feb 2010]
