- The Wnt family includes several secreted glycoproteins that play important roles in animal development. There are 19 Wnt genes in the human genome that encode functionally distinct Wnt proteins. Wnt members bind to the Frizzled family of seven-pass transmembrane proteins and activate several signaling pathway. The canonical Wnt/ beta-catenin pathway also requires a coreceptor from the low-density lipoprotein receptor family. Aberrant activation of Wnt signaling pathways is involved in several types of cancers. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:1000. Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight. Immunoprecipitation: 1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
