Extra Details:: The antiserum against the vesicular acetylcholine transporter is a unique immunohistochemical marker for cholinergic nerves, more specific than the commonly used acetylchiolinesterase (AchE), since it does not react with postsynaptic neurons, and is more sensitive than choline acetyltransferase (ChAT). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin): 1:800-1:1200 (microwave treatment recommended for paraffin sections) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
