- Tumor endothelial marker 7 (TEM7) is a 55.8kD protein belonging to the plexin family. TEM7 is strongly expressed in endothelial cells from colorectal cancer and from primary cancers of the lung, liver, brain, breast and pancreas. High expression of TEM7 is associated with metastasis and poor survival of patients with osteogenic sarcoma. Studies have indicated the existence of least four isoforms of TEM7 which include membrane bound, secreted and intracellular forms. TEM7 is not detectable in endothelial cells from normal tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 2.5ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
